DCTA partners with local colleges and universities to provide transit solutions for students, faculty and staff.
University of North Texas (UNT)
Students, faculty and staff of the University of North Texas (UNT) may ride UNT Campus Shuttle and Connect Bus services in Denton by presenting a valid UNT identification card. The UNT Campus Shuttle system offers a robust schedule of 15 bus routes which serve the entire UNT campus as well as many of the most widely used off-campus housing areas, local businesses and attractions. UNT Campus Shuttle bus service is also available to the general public with normal fares.
Additionally, DCTA provides a comprehensive University Pass Program that offers a discounted pass for students, faculty and staff looking to incorporate the A-train in their travels on a regular basis. Click here for more information on the University Pass Program.
The UNT Campus Shuttle is a DCTA service offered in partnership with the University of North Texas (UNT) to provide direct shuttle service to the campus and off campus student-oriented housing.
UNT Campus Shuttle: Academic Year Schedule, Hours & Holidays
During the academic year, the UNT Campus Shuttle operates Monday through Friday, with limited service on nights and weekends. Limited summer service is offered late May through mid-August. Click here for a downloadable schedule.
Cost to Ride
The UNT Campus Shuttle is open to any and all riders. Valid DCTA Local Day pass and Regional fare options are accepted. UNT students, faculty and staff with a valid school ID ride the UNT Campus Shuttle and Connect Bus service for no additional fare.

Connect Route 7 serves the University of North Texas from the Downtown Denton Transit Center (DDTC) offering transfer opportunities to the A-train.
Additional Services
The UNT Parking & Transportation office provides additional transportation programs for UNT students, faculty and staff, such as ridesharing, E-Ride late-night on-demand service, Lyft program and an hourly rental car program.

Due to a construction project across from the University Union, most bus stop locations along Union Circle will be different this academic year. Please give yourself extra time to locate your particular bus stop as the location likely has changed. The following is a list of Union transfer station bus stops for the 2023-24 academic year:

Texas Woman's University (TWU)
DCTA transit services are available to Texas Woman's University (TWU) students, faculty and staff, including Connect Route 6, GoZone on-demand rideshare service and the A-train.
Cost to Ride
Students may use DCTA A-train and Connect bus at a reduced rate by purchasing passes exclusively at the TWU Student Union (room 209). Students who do not purchase passes through the TWU Student Union must pay full fare. Faculty and staff are required to pay the full fare as well.
DCTA Service Connections to TWU Campuses
TWU Denton Campus
Connect Route 6 serves Texas Woman's University from the Downtown Denton Transit Center (DDTC) offering transfer opportunities to the A-train.
GoZone on-demand rideshare service is also available to TWU students, providing transportation to much of Denton for a $1.50 base fare. In the Denton zone, trips over four miles will incur an additional charge of $0.50 per mile, up to a cap of $5.00.
TWU Dallas Campus*
To get to the TWU Dallas Campus via a connection from DCTA to Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART):
- Take the A-train south to the Trinity Mills Station.
- Transfer to DART's Green Line at the Trinity Mills Station and ride the Green Line to the Southwest Medical District/Parkland Station.
- Then hop on DART Bus Route 101 (Bay E at the Southwest Medical District Parkland Station) to the Inwood @ Southwestern Medical Avenue bus stop (Stop ID 16450).
- Walk 1-2 minutes to TWU Dallas Campus at 5500 Southwestern Medical Avenue.
To return to Denton from the TWU Dallas Campus:
- Walk from TWU to the DART bus stop at Inwood @ Southwestern Medical Avenue (northbound, Stop ID 21209).
- Take DART Bus Route 101 to the DART Southwest Medical District/Parkland station.
- From there, take the DART Green Line light rail headed north (North Carrollton/Frankford) and get off at the Trinity Mills Station.
- At Trinity Mills, transfer to the DCTA A-train headed north toward Denton.
*This trip requires a Regional Pass / Fare to connect between DCTA and DART.
